  • WPEC’s free, family-friendly event that brings the community together in a natural park setting to promote wellness, environmental learning, and stewardship.
  • The event starts at 2:00 pm (doors open 1:45 pm). We will gather around a wellness fire for guided breathwork and grounding exercises (like those used in Yoga) leading into the Summer Solstice celebration with the wonderful music of sound bowls to foster well being and community. You may stand or sit. Bring chairs, blankets, or use our picnic tables.
  • Then participate in connecting to the wellness of Mother Earth as we visit our Pollinator Garden and share in the joy of planting flowers timed for peak season. You may like to plant a native flower or support others as they add to the garden. Either way you will be part of a bigger Planet Care experience supporting biodiversity, strengthening habitat health, and fostering a deeper connection to the land and natural systems that sustain our community.
  • The event concludes when we gather in the open-air Pavilion for refreshments while actively exploring current solar energy trends (e.g. presentation and solar art) highlighting renewable energy in an accessible way.
  • We are in the Credit River – Hungry Hollow ravine, rich in biodiversity. So, when we collectively act to help and protect this local ecosystem we impact on many living critters and their survival and often see them as we tend to projects! - JUNE IS a wonderful time to get moving more outside, you may also like to explore signing up for our June Take Action Thursdays (4-6pm) or Yoga among the Trees (June 7, 14)
