Join CVC and the Town of Halton Hills Trail Stewards to help make the Hungry Hollow SNAP neighbourhood more sustainable and ready for a changing climate. This event is part of the Hungry Hollow Sustainable Neighbourhood Action Plan (SNAP). Join us to help control the spread of invasive species in the Hungry Hollow Ravine. Participants will receive a tour of the local trails, discussing native vs invasive plants and their impacts on the ecosystem. We will then remove invasive species that are impacting the survival of native plants and animals. These actions help restore habitat for our native wildlife to survive and allow a more diverse ecosystem to thrive. Location: Meet us at the end of Metcalfe Court. What to wear: For your own safety, wear a hat, long pants, long socks (to tuck your pants into) and closed-toed shoes. This is a rain-or-shine event. Please dress for the weather. What to bring: Your own reusable water bottle (we have water to refill from). Sunscreen and bug spray. Additional Information Stay home if you are feeling sick. Registration is recommended. Register for this event by Monday, July 15 at noon. Washroom amenities will not be available. Volunteers under 18 please bring a signed copy of our waiver, or bring your parent/guardian to sign you in at the event. Volunteers over 18 please read the event waiver. You will sign this at the event. This event is subject to change or cancellation due to inclement weather.
