What does a satellite orbiting 798 km from Earth have to do with the food on our plate? The Space to Spoon exhibit demonstrates how space technology benefits Canadian farmers and sustainable agriculture. It also highlights the Canadian Space Agency’s Earth observation satellite, RADARSAT-2, and its cutting-edge successor, RADARSAT Constellation.
Space to Spoon is a hands-on experience, with stunning graphics and interactive elements for visitors of all ages. The science, technology, and innovation that transform satellite images into agricultural applications are showcased in a way that encourages informal science learning among school groups as well as general audiences.
Exhibit will be on display at the Halton Hills Library and Cultural Centre from June 15 to September 2.
Generously sponsored by the Friends of the Halton Hills Public Library.
