A Hundred Thousand Welcomes to one of the largest events of the year in Halton Hills. Established in 1975, the Georgetown Highland Games is held every 2nd Saturday in June at the Georgetown Fair Grounds
Come be a “Scot for a Day” & enjoy the Massed Pipes & Drums with sounds that stir the heart & soul; “Amazing Grace” & “Scotland the Brave” at 1 pm & 5 pm. This event is one of the largest single day Highland Games in North America. Boasting over 1,000 competitors who gather to compete in Piping, Drumming, Highland Dancing & Heavy Weight events throughout the day. Listen to world class Pipe Bands who will compete in the Central Canadian Championships and watch in awe as world class Heavy Weight Champions hurl telephone pole-sized cabers and 50 LB iron hammers in the infield. It is a memorable and incredible event. Visit our Military Event & Gathering of the Clans Avenue to explore historical artifacts & displays. Bring the entire family to visit our Children’s Event Centre with activities such as the Bouncy Castle, Scottish Sheep Shearing, Face Painting & Balloon artists. Enjoy a stroll while sampling a wide variety of specialty foods, visit our Arts & Crafts vendors or take a refreshing break in our licensed Cheer Garden.
